Spoonquill does not support or legitimize the use of AI in creative fields. Generative AI cheats human creativity and connection while causing tremendous environmental harm.

Spoonquill does not use Generative AI tools in the production or support of the residency. This includes copy and assets on this site and on social media, and any comms that you receive as a part of your participation.

Do not apply to Spoonquill with pieces that have used AI in any part of their production. Similarly, do not use AI as a part of your work here if admitted a resident. We are not interested in admitting anyone to a speculative fiction residency who cannot project forward far enough to see the implications of the torment nexus.
